A space devoted to major temporary exhibitions sits alongside the permanent collection, featuring over 5 000 works presented by theme and chronological order: the start of the modern era (16C-18C) with two paintings by Brueghel the Younger, 19C Colombian art with engravings by the first European travellers, avant-garde work from the 1910s-1950s, and experimentations and installations from the 1950s-1980s. Not to be missed: two 18C monstrances inlaid with hundreds of precious stones.
